Sancheti Institute For Orthopaedics And Rehabilitation is a premier post graduate orthopaedics institute in the country. The institute has been training post graduates in orthopaedics since 1974.
The institute has been recognised by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, Medical Council of India, New Delhi, and University of Pune, for post graduate studies leading M.S. Ortho and D.Ortho.
The institute has extensive training facilities in orthopaedics, traumatology, joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy surgery, spinal surgery, hand surgery and management of poly trauma.
Eligibility Criteria For M.S. Ortho And D.Ortho
Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate / valid passport shall constitute the proof of nationality.
A candidate who has passed final M.B.B.S. examination from a recognised medical college included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to Non - Agricultural Universities established under Maharashtra University Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council after completing one year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for M.S. Ortho and Diploma courses.
The full / permanent MCI / MMC registration is a condition precedent for appearing for M.S. Ortho and Diploma courses and proof should be enclosed.
All candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the application, failing which the application shall be rejected.
The candidate, who was admitted to the college / Institution which is now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences will be eligible till such time they are awarded the degrees by the University established under Maharashtra University Act, 1994.
However, the candidates who are domicile of Maharashtra, who got admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination for MBBS course and who have obtained the degree from a University situated out side the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for M.S. Ortho and Diploma courses. Such candidate should submit certificate from the Dean of respective college stating that the candidate was admitted under 15% AIEE quota for MBBS course, certificate of Domicile of Maharashtra.Candidates from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune who have passed / will pass the Final MBBS Examination from Pune University only, will be elilgible to appear for M.S. Ortho and Diploma courses..
Candidates who have completed terms for postgraduate diploma course will be eligible for M.S. Ortho and Diploma courses for admission to postgraduate degree registration in the same subject only.
