Achevements in Life
 
His Achievements, during his 38 years of professional activity, are plenty. The major achievements are as follows.
He commenced his practice in a small clinic and progressively expanded his activities to a One Lac square Ft. complex presently housing "Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation"
Early in his career Dr. K.H. Sancheti was quick to identify the problems related to orthopaedically handicapped in rural India. He then went into an over drive to organize "Free Diagnostic and Operative Camps" in various parts of India.
Established College of Post Graduate Studies for M.S. Ortho & D. Ortho - Pune University
Established College of Physiotherapy, Master Degree - Pune University. Bachelors Degree - Maharashtra University Of Health Sciences, Nashik
Established College of Hospital Management - Pune University.
Established Research & Development Centre in his Institute which is recognised by Govt of India, Ministry of Science & Technology.
 
This R & D Centre has been established during 1974 at Sancheti Institute. International Organisations, national organisations, regional organisations, ICMR and the R&D Centre jointly work on various research and development projects. Through Medical Technology Transfer from abroad and in house, R&D effort is contributed to minimise the cost of orthopaedic treatment by evolving effective technology for the Indian environment. He has published more than 50 dissertations in different journals and also presented about 30 scientific papers on different topic within and outside the country. A number of workshops and seminars are organised at his Institute at frequent intervals to keep abreast with the latest technologies.
 
He has researched and developed an indigenous knee to suit Indian Conditions. This break through Knee has reduced the cost of TKR by over 50%.
He is a member of Governing Bodies, Advisory Committees, Expert Committees, Post graduate teacher & Examiner of various hospitals, Institutes & Universities. These appointments include professor emeritus for orthopaedics of Pune University & Inspector of Hospitals for granting recognition to hospital by Medical Council of India.
He has provided hospital consultancy services to over 100 hospital in India.
As a social responsibility he has contributed in a big way towards Health awareness programme. He is an advocate of preventive & alternate medicine and with his innovative ideas introduced the concepts of Knee Club and Spine Club which has benefited a large number of people in need.
He has trained and groomed over 200 Orthopaedic Surgeon who are presently practicing all over India and abroad.

The orthopaedic fraternity has appropriately recognised his contribution and honored him by electing unopposed the president of Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association and also electing unopposed the president of Indian Orthopaedic Association.
