- INDUS KNEE RELEASED TO THE NATION: On 22.11.07, the "Indus Knee" a totally indigenous design for knee replacement by Dr. K. H. Sancheti was released to the nation in the hands of our president Mrs Pratibha Patil. The new indigenous design apart from being more compatible with the needs of the Indian population will also bring down the cost of knee replacement surgery in India.
- Dr. Mohit Bhandari, Research Chair of McMaster University, Canada visited the Sancheti Institute on 1st and 2 nd December, 2007. He conducted a one day workshop on research methodology in orthopaedic surgery. He was accompanied by Dr. George Mathew, Research fellow and orthopaedic surgeon.
- Dr. Ashish Singh won the best poster award in the Maharashtra Orthopaedic Assosciation conference held at Amravati for his study titled “Functional outcome of surgical fixation of intra-articular fractures of the calcaneum” on 18th November 2007
- Dr. Parag Sancheti have returned from USA on sept 10th
2007, after successfully completing a fellowship of Dr.
C S Ranawat ( at Lenox hill hospital - New York ) from
June 10th 2007 to sept 9th 2007.

performed a TKR (total knee replacement) in the hospital.
Dr C S Ranawat performed a Check up of 30 patients in
OPD.

The Basic Trauma Life
Support (BTLS) course was organized on August 12 & 13,
2006. SIOR and Symbiosis jointly organized the same.
This course was aimed at orienting upcoming medical personnel
in the latest modalities of Trauma care. The course had
more than 60 participants. The faculty comprised of eminent
experts in the field of Trauma Care. |

presenting the award to Dr Parag Sancheti. |

Dr Parag Sancheti has been presented the
Award for Excellence for the year 2004 - 05. This award
is given by the Top Management Consortium, Pune to honour
the achievements of young and upcoming personalities in
various fields. |
|
This award is in recognition of his outstanding
performance in the field of Orthopaedics and his commendable
contribution in service to the society. |
|
Dr Parag Sancheti is
a DNB (Ortho), M.S. (Ortho), F. ASIF (Swiss), MCh (Ortho)
UK and is the Medical Director of Sancheti Institute
for Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation. |
|
He was appointed as a visiting faculty for
the M Ch Ortho course conducted by the Dundee University
in U.K. in 2005 and has the distinction of being one of
the few Indians appointed for this coveted post. |
|
Dr Parag Sancheti has
always believed that quality health care should not be
confined to certain sections of the society and should
be available to all who require it. Keeping this in mind
he has conducted and attended more than 500 camps in
last five years in rural areas such as Malegaon, Kalwan,
Chandgaon, the Konkan belt, Anandpur & Sanawat
+ other cities in Madhya Pradesh. |

The Award of Excellence was presented to
Dr Parag Sancheti at the hands of His Excellency Shri S
M Krishna, Hon'ble Governor of Maharashtra. |
|
He was selected for this award by a reputed
and formidable Awards Committee consisting of Shri Mohan
Dharia, Mrs Lila Poonawala, Dr S B Mujumdar and other distinguished
personalities under the Chairmanship of Shri S P Malhotra,
President of Weikfield Group of Industries. He was selected
on the basis that he has excelled in delivering high standards
of surgical skills which has benefited the society. |
