SOCIAL ENDEAVORS
IN THE COMMUNITY LIVING FOR OTHERS
The Sancheti institute has always been at the forefront of charitable and social medical activities. Dr. Sancheti applied the concept of social orthopaedics by carrying out mass polio & rehabilitation camps, from 1976 onwards. During these camps children with deformities were examined and operated upon. Till 2004, more than 300 such camps have been conducted in Maharashtra, UP, MP, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka. Dr. K.H. Sancheti firmly believes that we need to repay our debt to society in this life itself.
With this philosophy, the following charitable work is carried out by the Sancheti institute every year for the last 25 years:

Free polio and cerebral palsy camps fro the underprivileged in various backward areas of Nandurbar, Amravati & Sanawad. This includes free diagnosis as well as surgery, and distribution of rehabilitation aids for the patients. Over 10000 patients have benefited from this activity. |

Free Orthopaedic Camp at Anandpur, Madhya Pradesh, where over 100 surgeries are done every year since 1994. |

Free Plastic surgery camp conducted on campus yearly, in the third week of January, by world famous plastic surgeon Dr. Sharad Dicksheet from USA. Correction of cleft lip, cleft palate, scars and squint is carried out during the course of this camp. About 500 surgeries are done in one week. |

Monthly arthritis camps are conducted at Sancheti Institute, where consultation is free and concessions are offered on diagnostic services. Innumerable patients of Arthritis are benefited by this service. |
